Confluence State Park sits on the north end of Wenatchee, adjacent to the Apple Capital Loop Trail and the Horan Nature Area.  It is popular in the warmer months with RVers filling the campsites.  This photo is taken from the entry ramp, looking west.

Here is a familiar sight for anyone who has picked up a quick bite to eat at Jack in the Box in Wenatchee.  Traffic can get kind of hairy on Chelan and Mission, the two one-ways in town.  Drive careful out there.

Okay, so its not THAT Bigfoot.  This one resides just off the Loop Trail on the Wenatchee side of the Columbia River.  There are lots of great art pieces placed all over the town and getting out to see them is very easy.

Stemilt is a big part of not just Wenatchee, but all of North Central Washington.  The name is seen on semitrucks, orchard signs, the little stickers on apples, and other places like the fruit packing facility shown here.

Slated to open in May, here is a photo of the work being done on Wenatchee's new theater on the north end of town.  It is being built in part of the old K-Mart building right next to the Food Pavilion.

The climbing toys at Lincoln Park are very popular with kids.  That is understandable too, because who wouldn't want to climb and slide in a huge wooden castle structure?

There are 3 bridges that cross the wenatchee river right above where it flows into the columbia river.  The first is highway 285 which is also known as  wenatchee avenue.  The last one is a pedestrian bridge that is part of the Apple Capital Loop Trail.  In between those is the railroad bridge pictured here.

The Horan Nature Area is an awesome outdoor walking area in Wenatchee.  A good place to escape the city and enjoy the outdoors.

There is a lot of artwork that sits along the Apple Capital Loop Trail.  Here is a piece that is located just off the east end of the Riverwalk Bridge.  Wenatchee is very lucky to have this type of community attitude.

This photo shows the underneath of the Odabashian Bridge, the Columbia River, and the Olds Station area of North Wenatchee.  An extension of the Apple Capital Loop Trail runs underneath the bridge and up to a small parking lot.

Washington Park is located right in the middle of a nice older residential area un Wenatchee and is somewhat overlooked by many people.  There are swings, bathrooms, climbing toys, and a covered picnic area there for kids of all ages and their families to enjoy.
