Pjoto: Time to Get Out For a Walk in Wenatchee

Whether looking at the Apple Capital Loop Trail, a secluded canal road, a quiet residential area, or the Horan Nature Area, there are lots of places in the Wenatchee area to get out and go for a walk.  It's that time of year too when there is no more snow on the ground to use as an excuse too.  So get out there today!

Stopped by Walla Walla Park not too long ago and there were plenty of ducks out.  They just loved the bread we brought to feed them too!

One of the key landmarks in the Wenatchee area is Saddlerock.  A short hike to the top can be fun anytime of year.  The view from up there is awesome too!

Photo: Big 5 Sporting Goods In Wenatchee

Big 5 Sporting Goods is one of the best places to go in Wenatchee for, well, anything sports related.   They have camping supplies, shoes, weight lifting equipment,  racket sports equipment,  and so much more!  Great service too!

Here is a nice little resting spot along the banks of the Columbia River.  This is located just off the loop trail and us very near the kayak dock.

Photo: Art on the Avenues in Wenatchee

Wenatchee has a lot of nice places to get out and walk through.  The Apple Capital Loop Trail is one if them and one of the nicer sections is near the east end of the Riverwalk Bridge.  A great display of artwork can be seen there as part of the Art on the Avenues display in town.

Photo: Not Too Cold For The Ducks To Go Swimming

Even though there was still patches of snow on the ground recently, that didn't keep some of the local ducks from enjoying the water.

Photo: The Restrooms May Be Closed, But...

The Apple Capital Loop Trail is a fun place all year long.  During the winter the restrooms may be closed but rest assured that the trail is completely accessible.   So get out and walk, run, Rollerblade, snowshoe, skip, saunter, glide, pedal, or even hop your way along the Apple Capital Loop Trail today!

Wenatchee has some interesting artwork visible around town.  It ranges from metal sculptures to painted retaining walls.  This mural sits on Ferry Street just west of where it connects to Mission.

Photo: Wildlife in Wenatchee at the Horan Nature Area

The Horan Nature Area sits just across the Wenatchee River from Confluence State Park on the north end of Wenatchee.  During late winter and early spring it is a great place to go to catch a glimpse of some interesting wildlife, some native to the area and some just passing through.

Photo: Blue Spoon Yogurt

One of Wenatchee's newest and best places for a tasty treat is Blue Spoon Yogurt.  It is located in the Albertson's complex, right next to Supercuts in what used to be part of Blockbuster Video.

They have all kinds of great flavors of frozen yogurt and delicious toppings too!

You pick the flavors,  the amounts, and the toppings... let your imagination go wild!

Photo: Krispy Kreme Donuts For Sale!

Driving around Wenatchee right now?

Swing over to Hastings and you can purchase some of the best tasting donuts ever.  Treating yourself to some Krispy Kreme Donuts will also help some area youth in their efforts to go on a mission trip to Ecuador.

It really is a win-win situation!

That's Krispy Kreme Donuts in the Hastings parking lot in Wenatchee today (Saturday, March 3rd).

Don't miss out!
